Your recovery seed is a list of 12 or 24 words that represents your private keys. This seed can regenerate all your cryptocurrency wallets on any compatible device. Anyone with your seed has complete access to your funds.
Trezor uses the BIP39 standard, which means your recovery seed consists of words from a specific list of 2048 possible words. The seed is generated using cryptographically secure randomness.
Connect your Trezor and select "Recover wallet" during initial setup, or wipe device first if reusing.
Enter each word directly on the Trezor device (not on computer) in the correct order.
Security: Advanced recovery uses your computer to speed up word selection, but words are still entered on device. Standard recovery is slower but more secure for untrusted computers.
After entering all words, set a new PIN and verify your wallets have been restored correctly.
